Worked for Krency's Bakery. Helen Marie McKay, 87, of Washington, died at 5:08 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2006, in Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington. She was born August 18, 1918, in Washington, a daughter of Warren McClease and Clara Belle Bird Crowe. Mrs. McKay worked for 12 years at Krency's Bakery, where she decorated cakes and waited on customers. She was a member of Third United Presbyterian Church, Washington, and enjoyed her grandchildren and flower gardening On June 14, 1937, she married Morgan Charles McKay, who died January 15, 1999. Surviving are a daughter, Karen Lee (Charles) Brice of Washington; a brother, Richard L. Crowe of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Ethel Sulitz of Washington; six grandchildren, Beth Ann Frank, Lisa McCartney, James Taggart, Amy Cole, Charles Brice Jr. and Christine Brice; and 11 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son, Sgt. David Morgan McKay; a daughter, Darlene Ruth Taggart; and four sisters, Hazel Pollock Smith, Ruby King, Bessie Morris and Nellie Postelwaite. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 13, with the Rev. Stephen Getchell officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
