Ronald G. Yocum

Ronald G. Yocum, 75, of Washington, died unexpectedly at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2006, in his home. He was born December 16, 1930, in Wind Ridge, a son of Forest and Helen Barnhart Yocum. He graduated from Trinity High School in 1948. Mr. Yocum served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was shift foreman at Tri-State for 32 years and was owner of Yoc's Bar in Washington for 24 years. Mr. Yocum was a member of Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175 and a lifetime member of NRA. On June 5, 1954, he married Lucille Giordano, who died December 30, 1989. His companion was Sandy Plott. Surviving are two sons, Dennis G. Yocum of Washington and Kevin E. Yocum of Prosperity; a daughter, Angela M. Yarkosky of Washington; two brothers, Fred Yocum of Washington and Terry Yocum of West Finley; nine grandchildren, Jared, Jesse and Jordan Yocum, Kelly Yarkosky Renne, Jason Yarkosky and Emily, Kyle, Kory and Kevin Yocum; and a great-granddaughter, Emma Lucille Renne. Friends and family will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 31. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175.
