Anna Jean Donaldson, 83 formerly of Washington, PA died Sunday March 26, 2006 in Akron, Ohio. She was born on November 4, 1922, in Washington, a daughter of Robert and Lillian Warnick of Washington PA
Mrs. Donaldson attended Washington High School. She worked as a long distance operator for the Bell Telephone system in Washington PA and as a PBX operator and receptionist for the Hardwick Standard Chemical Co. in Akron Ohio. She was active in the family business, KLS, a custom control panel fabrication company. Mrs. Donaldson enjoyed politics and served as a volunteer in many local political campaigns. As a member of the PTA she was instrumental in getting the auditorium built for Henry Elementary school. She was an avid reader and enjoyed a good debate. She will always be remembered for the great love and selfless devotion she showed to her husband and family and will be deeply missed.
On July 11, 1941 she married Robert E. Donaldson, who died August 7, 2003
Surviving are her sons Robert Donaldson of Mansfield Ohio and David Donaldson of Tampa Florida. Also surviving is her sister Thelma Hochkraut and her son Johnny now residing in Ravenna, Ohio. She has 5 grandchildren Jimmy, Diana, and Nancy Donaldson of Mansfield and Daniel Donaldson of Charlottesville, Virginia and Jay Donaldson of Tampa Florida. She had 4 great grandchildren Kay and Max Donaldson of Tampa Florida and Matthew and Michael Donaldson of Charlottesville, Virginia
Deceased are three brothers Robert Warnick, Don Warnick and Jim Warnick all of Washington.
Friends will be received on Thursday, March 30 from 1-2:00 p.m. at the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held immediately following visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating.
