Virginia Ilene White, 69, of Washington, died Sunday, November 23, 2008, in Washington Hospital.
She was born November 30, 1938, in Taylorstown, a daughter of Henry and Georgia Fields Crowe.
Mrs. White graduated from Claysville High School.
A homemaker, she enjoyed crafts, quilting, baking and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was a member of Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church.
On December 10, 1956, she married Robert Russell White Jr., who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Robert Douglas White of Washington, Jeffrey Lee White of Florida and Joseph Eugene White of Missouri; four daughters, Jeannie Darlene Harrington of Missouri, and Judy Lynn Campbell, Jacqueline Grace Jones and Dwana Jo Mankey, all of Washington; four brothers, Thomas Crowe of California, Bob Crowe and Allan Crow, both of Claysville, and Richard Crowe of California; eight sisters, Alice Wood, Wilma Plants and Esther Nelson, all of Washington, Gladys Morris and Millie Corbly, both of Claysville, Martha Rizor of West Alexander, Ruth Shriver of Claysville and Ruby Marquez of Virginia; grandchildren Jannah Bentley, Jacie Busler, Justin Harrington, Kirsten, Jonathan, Joshua and Kaitlyn Campbell, Rob and Lissa White, Patrick, Tricia and Troy Jones, Jeffrey and Taylor White, Trevor, Tanner and Trenton White, Wesley, Chelsea and Ali Mankey, Patty Nichols, Kelley Cole and Erin Nichols; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler Busler, Logan Busler and Dannika White.
Deceased are an infant daughter and two brothers, Melvin and Charles Crowe.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 28, with the Rev. Ben Hallam and the Rev. David R. Price co-officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. There will be no visitation on Thanksgiving Day.
