Theodore Louis Siedlak, Sr.

Theodore Louis Siedlak, Sr., 76, of Washington, died at 9:10 p.m., Monday, May 15, 2006, in Kade Nursing Home, Washington. He had been ill since November. He was born July 27, 1929, in Washington, a son of Jacob and Brony Brzezanski Siedlak. Mr. Siedlak graduated from Trinity High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of St. Hilary Church, where he helped with the fish fry’s, festivals and all activities at the church. Mr. Siedlak was a machinist at Forbes Steel for thirty years and prior to this was employed by Star Mould Machine and Foundry. Mr. Siedlak was a member of Edwin Scott Linton, Post 175, American Legion, L.O.O.M. #22, American Bowling Congress, Alpine Club, and former member of the Arms Club. He enjoyed gardening, bowling, woodworking, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are his best friend, Myrldean Jusko; two sons, Theodore (Sherry) Siedlak, Jr., of Washington, and Michael (Michele) Siedlak, of Canonsburg; two daughters, Bernice Siedlak (Nicholas) Andrews, of Upper St. Clair, and Lisa K. Siedlak (Jeffrey) Swart, of Hurricane, West Virginia; a twin brother, Edward (Helen) Siedlak, of Washington; three sisters, Ann Siedlak Abajace, Sophie Siedlak (Lee) Earnest, and Antionette Siedlak (Albert) Bier, all of Washington; five grandchildren, David and Scott Andrews, Carrie and Judson Swart, and T.J. Siedlak. Deceased are two sisters, Helen Siedlak-Rendziak and Mary Siedlak-Zawacki. Friends and family will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 19, 2006, in St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church, with Father Thomas D. O’Neil, as celebrant. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded graveside by Edwin Scott Linton, Post 175, American Legion. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 357 East Maiden Street, Washington, PA. 15301.
