Florence "May" Rockey

Florence “Mayâ€쳌 Rockey, 58, of Washington, died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2006. She had been ill since November 2005. She was born June 3, 1948, in Hanlin Station, a daughter of Florence E. Loughrie of Washington and the late Kenneth M. “Dickâ€쳌 Dittrich. Ms. Rockey was a 1966 graduate of Trinity High School. She had worked at Jefferson Avenue Foodland, as a deli manager at Shop & Save, and as a crew leader at Brockway Glass. Ms. Rockey was a member of Wolfdale Chapel and LOOM #22. She enjoyed reading and being with her grandchildren. Surviving are a son, Carl David (Lisa) Rockey, Jr., of Houston; a daughter, Jami Lynn (Barry E.) McGlumphy of Venetia; a brother, Kenneth Lee (Carole Silver) Dittrich of Washington; a sister-in-law, Nancy Rockey of Washington; two grandchildren, Reilly and Cole McGlumphy; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2006, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association, 11676 Perry Highway, Suite 2104, Wexford, PA 15090.
