Washington homemaker born in Montana
Emma H. Nemec, 90, of Washington, died June 17, 2006, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center, Washington.
She was born November 22, 1915, in Danvers, Mont., a daughter of Samuel and Paulina Newmann Winter.
Mrs. Nemec was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and being with her family.
She was Lutheran.
On March 4, 1935, she married Rudolph R. Nemec, who died in May 1978.
Surviving are two daughters, Shirley M. Johnson of Washington and Doris K. Nell of Harlem, Mont.; a sister, Elsie Janke of White Sulphur Springs, Mont.; nine grandchildren, D. Michael Johnson, Kevin Nell, Kirt Nell, Gary Johnson, Amy Hart, Brian Nell, Laura Carpio, Mark Johnson and Patrick Gordon; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Ferdinand, John and Reynold Winter.
There is no local visitation. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Creel Funeral Home, Lewistown, Mont., where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 22. Burial will follow in Central Montana Memorial Gardens, Lewistown. Memorial contributions may be made to a hospice of the donor's choice. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., Washington.
