Kathryn Lucille Standiford

Kathryn Lucille Standiford, 81, of Washington, died at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2006, in The Washington Hospital, following a four-month illness. She was born October 12, 1924, in Washington, a daughter of Robert Wylie and Clara Estelle Matthews Mosier. Mrs. Standiford worked as a waitress at Howard Johnson’s for 29 1/2 years. She also worked at Duncan Miller Glass in the hot shop for three years and at Mister Donut. Mrs. Standiford was Baptist and a member of Allison Avenue Baptist Church. On September 7, 1945, she married Donald Lewis Standiford, who died August 22, 1972. Surviving are a son, Donald Barry (Debbie) Standiford of Tucson, Arizona; a daughter, Barbara K. Kissell of Washington; a sister, Beverly J. Lambright of Holbrook; three grandchildren, Jason Kissell, Nathan Kissell and Caroline Standiford. Deceased are a brother, William Mosier and a sister, Norma Lambright. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2006, in William Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held at 8p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial in Washington Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family.
