Glenn Allen Griffith

Glenn Allen Griffith, 76, of Eighty-Four, died at 11:00 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2006, in The Washington Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born August 26, 1929, in Cross Creek, a son of Glenn Albert and Edna Griffith. Mr. Griffith was a graduate of Hickory High School. He worked as a truck driver for Suwak Trucking for 35 years. Mr. Griffith enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing and yard work. On October 13, 1951, he married Roberta J. Rockhold, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jeff Griffith of Washington, and Jerry Griffith of Phoenix, Arizona; a daughter, Cheryl Harvey of Eighty-Four; a brother, Gerald Griffith of Cross Creek; and six grandchildren, Curtis, Dwayne and Michael Griffith, Josh Griffith, and Sara and Staci Harvey. Friends will be received 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Interment in Forest Lawn will be private and at the convenience of the family.
