Julia Frances Lobozzo, 85, of Washington, died Monday, August 21, 2006, in Humbert Lane Health Care, Washington, following a monthlong illness.
She was born April 14, 1921, in Mather, a daughter of John and Frances V. Povich.
A graduate of Jefferson High School, Mrs. Lobozzo was a packer at Hazel Atlas Plant 1.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and its Christian Mothers.
Mrs. Lobozzo helped with a handicapped workshop and started "Can Do" workshop. She was a gardener, studied interior decorating and made miniature furniture for doll houses.
In February 1947, she married Victor G. Lobozzo, who died October 11, 1983.
Surviving are two daughters, Yvonne V. (Carl) Hassett of Rutherford, N.J., and Vivian Lobozzo (Bo) Palo of Canyon Country, Calif., and three grandchildren, Taylor Palo, Eian Palo and Melaya Palo.
Deceased are daughter, Vicki Frances Lobozzo; three brothers, George Povich, Lou Povich and Charles Povich; and sister, Rose Hughes.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, August 25, in Immaculate Conception Church, 135 West Chestnut Street, Washington, with Father William Feeney, as celebrant. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
