John Witkowsky, 72, of Meadowlands, died Wednesday, November 1, 2006, in his home. He had been in declining health.
He was born October 15, 1934, in Meadowlands, a son of Pete and Helen Horsko Witkowsky.
Mr. Witkowsky was employed at Rubber Rolls, as a grinder, for thirty-two years.
He was a member of Anawanna Club, a former member of the Bears Club, and enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family.
On February 19, 1960, he married Carolyn Lee Ward, who died January 27, 1998.
Surviving are two daughters, Robin Mahramas, of Garden City, New York, Candice Bentz, of Prosperity; a brother, Ed Witkowsky, of Meadowlands; two sisters, Jenny Polosky, of Strabane, and Helen Boylstein, of Canonsburg; five grandchildren, Johnny, Seva and Michael Mahramas, Robert III and Chase Bentz.
Deceased are two brothers, Joseph and John Witkowsky.
Friends will be received 7-9 p.m., Thursday, and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 4, 2006, with the Rev. Betty Sprowls officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
