Dorothy Brownlee Andrews, 86, of Washington, died Tuesday, October 31, 2006, in Washington County Health Center. She had been ill for seven years.
She was born April 24, 1920, in West Middletown, a daughter of John L. and Dorothy Sawhill Brownlee.
Mrs. Andrews was a member of Assembly of God Church. She had worked for Bell of Pennsylvania and, prior to retiring, sold Naturalizer Shoes for ten years.
On May 5, 1942, she married Lyndon “Dutch” Andrews, who died in November 1968.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda A. Daney of Kansas City, Missouri; a brother, Frank Brownlee of West Middletown; five grandchildren, Lyndon Daney, Nicole Daney, Neal Daney, William Strope, Jr. and Aaron Strope; and two great-grandchildren, Bryce Daney and Drew Daney.
Deceased are a daughter, Cheryl Strope; two brothers, John and James Brownlee; and three sisters, Emma Keenan, Grace Ross and Ruth Jones.
Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2006. Burial will follow in Independence Cemetery.
