Former Washington resident worked at Brockway Glass
Thelma Steele, 79, of Follansbee, W.Va., formerly of Washington, died at 11:45 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2006, in Weirton (W.Va.) Medical Center, following a lengthy illness.
She was born July 27, 1927, in Washington, a daughter of Donald and Sophia Samida Huggins.
Mrs. Steele worked as a box cutter at Brockway Glass, retiring with 25 years of service.
She was a member of LOOM.
Surviving are a son, Floyd Steele of Bowie, Md.; a daughter, Mona Wilson of Follansbee; and two brothers, Bob Huggins and Roy Huggins, both of Claysville.
Deceased are a sister, Geraldine Bunner, and a brother, James Huggins.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 30. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
