Robert Allen Connor Sr., 69, of Washington, died at 9:40 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2006, in Washington Hospital, following an 11--year illness.
He was born January 17, 1937, in Washington, a son of Clarence I. and Francis Lemunyon Connor.
Mr. Connor had worked as a mould maker at Washington Mould for many years. Prior to his illness, he enjoyed horses and John Deere tractors.
He was Protestant.
On July 6, 1967, he married Viola Bailey, who survives.
Surviving also are two sons, Robert Connor Jr. and Michael Connor, both of Washington; a daughter, Tracy Cunningham of Claysville; two brothers, Jim Connor of Charleroi and Paul Connor of California; three sisters, Ruth Beddow of Amity, Martha Cunningham of Florida and Mary Connor of Cincinnati, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, William and Christina Clark, Tiffanie, Lindsay, Amber and Cody Connor, Brandon Phillips and Kayla, Ashley and Alisha Cunningham; and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are two brothers, Joe and Bill Connor.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 25, with the Rev. Rick Bruckner officiating.
