Barbara Blanche Fisher

Barbara Blanche Fisher, 70, of Washington, died on Friday, September 8, 2006 at the Washington County Health Center. She was born on July 4, 1936, in Washington, PA, a daughter of George Harold and Sarah Darraugh Shoemaker. Mrs. Fisher worked for twenty-five years at the Gladieux-Marriott Corporation. She was a member of Wright’s Methodist Church in Venetia, PA. Mrs. Fisher worked with special needs adults and enjoyed painting and reading. She graduated from Peters Township High School and attended CCAC. On August 26, 1980, she married Harold Fisher, who died on February 12, 1989. Surviving are 2 sons, Richard R. Aten, Jr., of North Strabane and Robert Harold Aten of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Sally Susanne Greiner, of Washington; a brother, Charles A. Shoemaker, of North Strabane; 2 grandchildren, Ashley Aten and Carley Greiner. Friends will be received on Monday, September 11, 2006 from 9-11:00 a.m. at the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA 15301, where services will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery, McMurray, PA.
