Loretta Frances Statler Willis, 74, of 8541 Mount Cross Road, Danville, VA., formerly of Hickory, PA., went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at her residence after a decline in her health for the past four months. Mrs. Willis was born March 20, 1936 in Monongalia County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late John Greenberry Statler and Edna Florence Roupe Statler. She had lived in Washington, PA. for 27 years and had been a resident of Danville for the past 26 years. She retired from Willis Yamaha Cycle Center that she and her husband owned in Danville, VA. She was a member of the Retreads Motorcycle Club and enjoyed riding with her husband and many friends along with attending various motorcycle rallies. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Danville and was formerly a member of the Hickory United Presbyterian Church. On December 29, 1956, she married Rolley L. Willis, who survives. Also surviving are three brothers, Robert, Kenneth, and Richard Statler; four sisters, Mary Walters, Jane Mooney, Katherine Brand, and Betty Folkens; a son, Terry Willis and wife Susan; a daughter, Karen Runtas and husband Gary; seven grandchildren, Amanda Stearns and husband Todd, Scott Willis and wife Kelly, Sarah, Rachel, Nathan, Matthew, and Hannah Runtas; and three great grandchildren, Makaylee, Kaleb, and Zackary Stearns. She was predeceased by two brothers, Virgil and Hubert Statler; a sister, Irene Phillips; an infant sister, Helen Statler; and two great grandchildren, Taylor and William Stearns. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Hickory United Presbyterian Church. Additional visitation will be held in the church on Monday, August 2nd, from 10:30 a.m. till 11 a.m., the time of service, with Rev. Doug Reinard officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery. The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Tunstall Fire & Rescue, P.O. Box 575, Danville, VA 24543, and to the Scholarship Endowment Fund at First Presbyterian Church, 937 Main Street, Danville, VA 24541.
