James "Tree" Howard Carroll, Jr.

James Howard "Tree" Carroll Jr., 51, of Washington, died at 5:50 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2006, in Washington Hospital. He had been ill since October 2005. He was born March 17, 1955, in Washington, a son of James Howard and Lillian Levers Carroll. Mr. Carroll worked for Comodey Sanitation for 30 years, before working for Chambers Sanitation. He enjoyed playing poker. Surviving are two sons, Michael Carroll and Eric Carroll; a daughter, Jamie Carroll; a brother, David Carroll; four sisters, Dianna Patterson, Sharon Bainer, Brenda Carroll and Darla Carroll, all of Washington; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, Herbert Wayne Levers. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m., the hour of services, Sunday, September 24, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. David R. Price officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of William G.
