Eighty Four resident served in U.S. Army.
Richard Keith Dauler, 69, of Eighty Four, died at 8:25 a.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2006, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a six-month illness. He was born August 7, 1937, in Pittsburgh, a son of Harvey N. and Ruth Dalryniple Dauler. Mr. Dauler graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School and attended two years of college. He was a business machine specialist at Office Depot and formerly had operated Covered Bridge Garden Center. Mr. Dauler was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served at Fort Knox, Ky., during the Korean War. He enjoyed O-gauge model trains. Surviving is his companion, Anna Hovatter.
