Josephine "Helen" Roupe, 70, of Washington, died Monday, August 28, 2006, in the Washington County Health Center following a two-year illness.
She was born April 28, 1936, in Washington, a daughter of Andrew and Lucy Malik Keron.
Mrs. Roupe graduated from Trinity High School in 1955 and worked for twelve years as a packer-selector at Hazel-Atlas #2.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed yard work, flower gardening, yard sales and going to the Meadows.
On September 3. 1966, she married Robert W. Roupe, Jr., who survives.
Also surviving is a brother, Rudolph "Rudy" Keron of Washington.
Deceased are four sisters, Anna Keron, Mary Slavikosky, Mildred Strnisha and Margaret Williams; and four brothers, Joe, John "Shoes," Steve "Hambone" and Robert "Rowboat" Keron.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington, with Father William Feeney as celebrant. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
