Dolores K. Evans

Dolores K. Evans, 91 of Alvarado, Texas, formerly of Washington, died Saturday, October 7, 2017 in Ridgeview Nursing Home, Cleburne, TX. She was born May 12, 1926 in Manifold, PA, the daughter of the late George Felton and Maebell Brown Felton. Dolores was a wonderful mom and person and loved her family and her dog Patches very much. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #22, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary #175. She enjoyed Bingo and was an avid Steelers fan. On May 12, 1945, she married Kenneth Gilbert Evans, who died July 26, 1993. Surviving are two sons, Ronald Q. (Debra) Evans of Elm Grove, WV and Kenneth R. (Linda) Evans of Washington; two daughters, Ada Z. (Gary) Miller of Alvarado, TX and Carol L. (Richard) Lawrence of Washington; a brother, James Felton of Rhode Island; fourteen grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, twenty two great- great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, John and Wilbert Felton; three sisters, Elizabeth Dailey, Audry Emph and Ada Tarr; a grandson, Thomas James Evans; granddaughter, Rona. Friends will be received Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Friday, October 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens.
