Barbara Jean Gantz Lemley

Barbara Jean Gantz Lemley, 77, of Washington, died Sunday, September 24, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.   She was born April 22, 1940, in Washington, a daughter of the late Donald B. and Dorthea P. Bristor Gantz.   A 1958 graduate of Trinity High School, Barabara along with her husband Donald owned and operated Scotty’s Hardware and Ice Cream Store for 30 years.   She was a long-time member of First Christian Church, Washington.   Barbara enjoyed going to the beach, taking walks outdoors, and reading. She loved animals, and will be greatly missed by her beloved poodle, Jax.   On June 6, 1959, she married her husband of 58 years Donald R. Lemley who Survives.   Also surviving are three daughters, Sharon Lemley (Donald Buxbaum) of Phoenix, Arizona, Lisa Sachek (Barry) of Washington and Lynne Del Sole (Joe) of Pittsburgh; a brother, Donald N. Gantz (Janet) of Washington; and three grandchildren, Matthew Sachek, Alexa Sachek and Danica Del Sole.  in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Angel Ridge Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 94, Meadowlands, PA 15347. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 30, 2017, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA.
