Kathy Ann Walther, 72, of Washington, passed away, Monday, August 21, 2017, at UPMC Montefiore Specialty Care in Pittsburgh. She was born November 2, 1944, in Washington, the daughter of the late Earl Lindley and Catherine Fisher Lindley. Kathy was a 1961 graduate of Washington High School and graduate from the Washington Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at West Virginia University Emergency Room, the Washington Hospital and was a visiting nurse for various local agencies. Kathy was formerly a member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist and most recently attended North Buffalo Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed craft shows, going to Sugar Creek, Ohio, flower gardening, interior and exterior decorating. She also enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting activities. She was very active at church and was very generous to others. On January 17, 1968, she married Cyril Nevin Walther, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Cyril M. (Marsha) Walther of Avella, Johann M. W. (Katherine) Walther of Washington; a daughter, Renate Walther of Washington; a sister, Rosemary Dittman of Beham, PA; seven grandchildren, Madelyn, Alyna, Cyril, Kiersten, Justin, Lauren and Ryan. Deceased in addition to her parents is her first born son. Friends will be received Thursday, August 24, 2017 and Friday, August 25, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Additional visitation will be held Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. the time of service at North Buffalo Presbyterian Church. Burial is private.
