Jacquelyn Arena, 85, of Washington, died Tuesday, August 1, 2017, in Donnell House, Washington. She was born November 19, 1931, in Washington, a daughter of the late Emil and Marjorie Cramer Roux. Mrs. Arena attended Trinity schools and was a homemaker. On September 25, 1954, she married Thomas Patsy Arena Sr., who passed away March 12, 2013. Surviving are three daughters, Leslie (Pete) Povich of Washington, Cathy (Johnny) Hoy of Virginia Beach, Va., and Amy (Mike) Ross of Chesapeake, Va.; a sister, Annette (Ray) Baker of Washington; grandchildren Nicole Jones, Christopher Pryor, Casey Hoy, Tyler Hoy, Jacob Ross and Caitlin Ross; and great-grandchildren Madelyn and Benjamin Jones and Max Pryor. Deceased, in addition to her parents, are a son, Tommy Arena; brothers Robert, William, George, Jimmy and Johnny Roux; and sisters Dorothy Brownlee, Betty Collis, Mary Closser and Hazel Pettit. At the request of the deceased, no flowers will be accepted at the funeral home; according to Mrs. Arena, "The time to get flowers is while you are living, not after death." A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 3, in Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Washington-Greene County Blind Association, 566 East Maiden Street, Washington, PA 15301.
