Donald E. Houston, 83, of Washington, died on July 18, 2017, in UPMC, Pittsburgh.
He was born on February 27, 1934, in Washington, a son of the late Charles and Pearl White Houston.
Donald was a graduate of Trinity High School.
Mr. Houston was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served from March 18, 1953, until his honorable discharge on March 17, 1957.
A life member of the South Strabane Volunteer Fire Department #2, he enjoyed hunting and golf.
On November 30, 1957, he married Beverly Thomas, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Mike (Nita) Houston, of Washington; a daughter, Darlene (Ken) Leasure, of Prosperity; a brother, Richard (Marylouise) Houston, of Washington; five grandchildren, Chrissy (Justin) Lotano, Dr. Matthew (Dr. Angelica) Houston, Dr. Kara Houston, John Charles (Courtney) Leasure; and Lizi (fiancé Matt Miller) Leasure; and four great grandchildren, Gio and Gabby Lotano, and Maddie and Michael Houston.
Deceased are three siblings, Charles Houston, Barbara Murry, and Phyllis Burns.
Friends will be received on Saturday, July 22, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 24, 2017, 11:00 a.m., with Rev. C.D. Croscutt officiating.
Burial will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
