Amanda Dawn Sonson, 28, of Washington, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 14, 2017, in her home.
She was born on February 22, 1989, in Washington, a daughter of Gary A. (Cathie) Sonson, of Hickory, North Carolina, and Joan Rice (Mark) Hoy, of Washington.
Amanda attended Trinity High School.
Ms. Sonson worked as a waitress in various local restaurants, most recently at Al an Ruben’s Restaurant.
Her whole life was her children, whom she adored.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her son, Kayden Thomas Ullom, her daughter, Skylar Jayde Sonson; a sister, Dakota Hoy, of Washington; two stepbrothers, Justin and Dylan Hoy, both of Washington; paternal grandfather, Michael S. Sonson, of Washington; and maternal grandmother, Grace Bell, of Washington.
Deceased are a stepbrother, Brandon Hoy, paternal grandmother, Eliza Sonson, and maternal grandfather, Richard Rice.
Services will be private, and held at the convenience of the family.
