Charles Edward Riggs, Iii

Charles Edward Riggs, III, 29, of Washington, died unexpectedly in his home, on Monday, July 3, 2017. He was born on May 26, 1988, in Waynesburg, a son of James Robert Riggs, of Washington, and Kathy Fox Brewer, of Waynesburg. He attended Trinity Schools. Mr. Riggs did residential construction for Remodeling by Riggs. Charles adored his family, and loved spending time with his sons. He was known for his charisma, and sense of humor. He enjoyed high school sports, especially wrestling and football. Surviving are his stepmother, Joyce Riggs; two sons, Ryder Riggs and Jayse Chandler; two brothers, Scott Hoy, of Waynesburg, and Zack George, of Pittsburgh; a sister, Heather Gerevics, of Martins Ferry, OH; paternal grandparents, Anna Ruth Miller, and Charles E. Riggs, Jr., both of Washington; and a previous stepmother, Beverly Riggs, of Washington. Deceased is his maternal grandmother, Karen Sue Fox. Friends will be received on Friday, July 7, 2017, from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m., the time of services, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a memorial fund to benefit his children. Please contact the family for details.
