Larae June Shade

LaRae June Shade, 89 of Washington, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Donnell House. She was born June 3, 1928 in Higgins, PA, the daughter of the late Raymond Kissinger and Martha Hentz Kissinger . LaRae worked for Penn Reel, a clothing factory and Mancuso Printing. She was a member of Avery United Methodist Church. LaRae loved spending time with family and enjoyed going out to dinner with her husband before he passed away. On April 26, 1947, she married Alvin Lawrence Shade, who died March 2, 2012. Surviving are two sons, Rodney (Chris) Shade of Washington and Steven (Jeanette) Shade of Ft. Myers, FL; a brother, Gary (Ruby) Kissinger; a sister, Judy (Bill) Leitzel; three grandchildren, Tracy (Rob) Stitley, Tina (Bob) Swords and Matthew (Rachel) Shade; five great grandchildren, Blake, Brock, Allyson, Kaylee and Logan and numerous nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are a sister, Geraldine Miller. Friends will be received Monday, July 10th from noon to 1:00 p.m. the time of service at Avery United Methodist Church, 1100 Gabby Ave, Washington. Burial is private at Forest Lawn Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Avery United Methodist Church.
