Cody Dale Wood

Cody Dale Wood, 26 of Hickory passed away from injuries sustained in ATV accident on Sunday, June 25, 2017. He was born September 20, 1990 in Washington, the son of Jane E. Bissett (Rich) Lucas of Hickory and the late Dale A. Wood Jr. Cody was a 2009 graduate of Fort Cherry High School and attended CCAC for two years for welding. He worked for Kutz Fabricating Inc. in Pittsburgh as a welder and fabricator. He was a member of Chartiers Cross Roads United Presbyterian Church. Cody was an avid bow hunter. He enjoyed fishing and all outdoor activities. Also surviving in addition to his mother and stepfather are his fiancée, Amber Wright, who is expecting their first child in October; two sisters, Sara Ann (Derek) Zofchak of Canonsburg and Carman Lucas of Hickory; paternal grandmother, Frances Wood of Washington; a nephew, Beau Zofchak. Deceased in addition to his father are his paternal grandfather, Dale Wood Sr., maternal grandparents, Howard and Nellie Bissett, step grandfather, George Lucas Sr. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Chartiers Cross Road United Presbyterian Church, 502 Old Hickory Ridge Rd., Washington. Burial will follow at Mt.
