Joyce Lorraine "Nene" Butterfield

Joyce Deems “Nene” Butterfield, 74 of Washington, died Monday, June 19, 2017 at Manor Care in McMurray. She was born January 11, 1943 in Waynesburg, the daughter of the late, Merle Deems and Mildred Deems Tustin. Joyce was a 1961 graduate of Trinity High School. She worked at Superior Valve for 20 years, before retirement. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them play softball, playing with her dogs Paco and Zoey and laying out at the beach. She also enjoyed golfing and seeing her grandchildren graduate. On July 10, 1982, she married Kenneth “Butch” Butterfield, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Terri (John) Tineri and Michaelene Severyn; a sister, Janice (David) Sikora of Washington; four grandchildren, Sydney, Abby, Julia Severyn and Michaelene Tineri; a niece Vegas Moore and several other nieces and nephews. Deceased are five brothers, Gene, Barry, Chuck, Donald and Ed. All services are private and will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington.
