Stephen William Holik, 50, of Washington Pa, passed unexpectedly on Sunday June 4th, as a result of many years of physical and emotional pain, associated with injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born May 12, 1967, a son of Patricia Knestrick Carpenter and Stephen J. (Stacey) Holik, both of Washington Pa. Stephen was an extremely talented craftsman, owning a carpet sales and installation business in the late 1990’s & early 2000’s. Before becoming homebound, Steve enjoyed hunting, spending time doing carpentry projects, and making others laugh. He spent hours reminiscing, and going to antique car shows with his lifelong friend, Robert Byrd, who passed away March 4, 2017. Although the pain of depression often made him seem unreasonable, he was a kind-hearted man who loved and cared deeply for his family and friends. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his loving fiancée, and caregiver, Donna Pratt, with whom he made his home; four children, Tori Smith, of Carolina Beach, NC, Steven Holik, of Bridgeville, Logan Ryan, of Washington, and Brandon Buckles; four siblings, Lori (Barry) Ross, of Washington, Nicole (Chuck Boig), of Eighty-Four, Alana (Dusty) Clayton, of West Alexander, and Evan (Rachael) Holik, of Washington; his aunt, Pamela Sue Knestrick, of Washington; and nieces and nephews, Shaelyn Ross, Deacon Holik, Gage, Grant and Harper Clayton, and Adeline Holik. At the request of the family, arrangements are private.
