Robert G. "Lucky" Lucatorto, age 82, died at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, in Harrisonburg, VA, on Wednesday May 31, 2017.
He was born on July 5, 1934 in Washington, to the late Dominic and Rose Lucatorto.
He was the youngest of two children, and is preceded in death by his sister Eleanor Bruno.
Robert attended school in Washington, and played on the Washington High School Football Team.
He served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves.
Bob worked as a self-employed Barber from 1952, until his death, a total of 65 years. He also operated an Insurance Agency from 1972 to 1997.
Mr. Lucatorto loved family and friends, and took great joy in telling stories and talking with everyone that he met.
He was also an avid Steelers fan.
On July 11, 1959, he married Mary Louise Barr who survives. They celebrated 57 years of marriage.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are their children Michelle (Stu) of Hedgesville WV; Robert (Susan) of Clear Lake CA; and Jeffrey (Lynn) of McGaheysville, Va., as well as four grandchildren, Greg, Gina, Nick and Julia Lucatorto. Also surviving is a daughter, Cynthia Schuler.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, June 2, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301.
A Mass of Christian burial will be Celebrated at 12:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 3, 2017, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 119 W. Chestnut St., Washington, PA 15301.
Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Robert’s name to the charity of choice.
