Mona May Megyesy

The visitation and services have been rescheduled for Tuesday, May 23, 2016 from noon to 2:00 p.m. the time of service. Mona May Megyesy, 67, of Washington, went home to be with Jesus, on Monday, May 15, 2017, in her residence. She was born on April 8, 1950, in Washington, a daughter of Mona Lea Reed Megyesy, of Houston, and the late Clarence M. Megyesy, Sr. Mona was a graduate of Burgettstown High School. Ms. Megyesy worked at Gabriel’s and G.C. Murphy, before retiring from Walmart in 2016. She attended Central Assembly of God. Mona loved her family, and her dog, “Missy.” She enjoyed crafts and reading, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a brother, Clarence M. (Noi) Megyesy, Jr., of Joffre; a sister, Nancy L. (Joe) Koraido, of Burgettstown; two nieces, Sandy Garvin, and Lisa (Jason) Shwallon; and several great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from noon to 2:00 p.m. the time of service at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington with Pastor Kurt Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Prospect Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Assembly of God, 155 McGovern Rd., Houston, PA 15342.
