Marlene D. Cathers

Marlene D. Cathers, 80 of Washington, died Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Washington County Health Center. She was born August 14, 1936 in Chartiers Township, the daughter of the late Jules Diesel and Anna Kerin Diesel. Marlene graduated from Chartiers Houston High School and worked for Bell of PA for 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed playing golf and bowling when she was younger and also enjoyed watching all sports of television. Surviving are two sisters, Geraldine Nestor of Washington and Lois Lyle of Burgettstown; a granddaughter, Jada S. Cathers; two nieces and caregivers, Tammy Hunter and Cindy Campsey. Deceased are her husband, Milton Glenn Cathers; her son, Jason Cathers and two brothers, Charles and Jerry Diesel. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 19, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Century Plaza Apartments, 1880 W. Chestnut St. Washington. Arrangements have been entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington.
