Mildred E. Korba, 93, of Washington, died Sunday, April 30, 2017, in her home. She was born August 4, 1923, in Bentleyville, a daughter of the late John and Anna Vashovska Rostoski. A graduate of Washington High School, Mrs. Korba worked at Tygart Valley Glass. In addition, she was a homemaker and talented seamstress. She loved to sew, liked to play Scrabble, and enjoyed playing cards and line dancing at the Senior Citizens Center. Mrs. Korba was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Canonsburg. On September 1, 1946, she married Frank J. Korba, who died December 22, 1985. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia A. (Roger) Thompson of Amity; two sons, Ronald A. (Donna) Korba of Washington and Fr. Daniel V. (Renee) Korba of Robinson Township; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Patrick J. Korba, and six siblings. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Service of Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 3rd, in St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 166 East College Street, Canonsburg, with Father Joseph Raptosh as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Canonsburg. A Panachida Service will be held at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
