Susan Faye Hammond

Susan Faye Hammond, 68 of Washington, died Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Washington Hospital. She was born November 26, 1948 in Washington, the daughter of the late Ernest James Boyd and Gertrude M. Bedell Boyd. Susan attended Ellsworth School and was a cook at Century Inn for 20 years. She was a member of the Miner’s Club in Richeyville, the VFW in Washington and took part in the National Pike Wagon Train last year. She loved cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Susan had many friends. Surviving are the love of her life, Jerry Walker; a son, Nicholas (Crystal) Pruski of Richeyville; a daughter, Michelle (Bob Keeling) Pruski of Claysville; four brothers William (Susie) Boyd of Cayuga, NY, Norman (Joann) Boyd of Washington, Larry (Kathy) Boyd) of Washington, Thomas (Dianne) Boyd of Lisbon, OH; several grandchildren including, Kayla, Rebecca, Alyssa, Samantha, MacKenzie, Nicholas III, Nathan, Brittlyn, Nicole and Toni; several great grandchildren including, Colton, Hayden, Julie and Anastasha; her best friend, Karen Appleby; three sisters in law, Stella Boyd, Edna Boyd and Bette Boyd; a son Thomas Pruski of Colorado Springs, CO; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased are four brothers, Robert, Ernest, Donald and Charles “Chuck” Boyd; a sister Betty Boyd who died as an infant. Friends will be received Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Thomas Boyd officiating. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in care of the funeral home.
