Eddie Leroy Amon

Eddie Leroy Amon, 60 of Washington, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Canonsburg Hospital. He was born August 20, 1956 in Washington, the son of Mae Youlya Amon of Washington and the late Samuel Amon. Eddie attended Washington High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He worked at North Avenue Apartments as the maintenance man. Eddie enjoyed fishing, playing casino games on his computer and spending time with his grandchildren. On November 24, 1973, he married Vicky Liggett, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Eddie Amon Jr., Robert (Cassandra Harney) Amon, Chris Amon and Rodney Amon, all of Washington; two brothers, Sam Amon and Dennis Amon, both of Washington; a sister, Cathy Ashmore of Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Deceased are a brother, Wray Amon and a sister, Barbara Temple. All services are private and arrangements have been entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington.
