Louis F. “Lou” Bunner, 86 of Washington, pass away Friday, March 10, 2017 at Hawthorne Woods. He was born January 24, 1931 in Washington, the son of the late Fred Bunner and Thelma Cahill Bunner. Lou was a 1948 graduate of Washington High School. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. Lou retired from Washington Steel Corp. after 35 years. He previously worked for Washington Engineering and Construction Co and Mellon Stuart Construction Company as a carpenter. He was a charter member of Independent Political Club and was a 50-year member of the Polish Club. He also was a member of (Soar) Steel Workers Organization of Active Retirees, Local 7139 On July 26, 1952, he married Rose Piasente, who passed away May 19, 2011. Surviving are a son, Patrick (Lynda) Bunner of Amity; three grandchildren, Brian (Kathy) Allen, Branden (Danielle) Allen and Brent (Kristine) Allen; six great grandchildren, Meredith, Grace, Liam, Elias, Garrett and Cameron Allen; five brothers, Allan (Mary Ann) Bunner of Washington, Fred (Wanda) Bunner of Chesapeake, VA; Fred Bunner and Jim (Betty) Bunner both of Nashville, TN and David Bunner of York, PA. Deceased are a sister, Mildred “Tootie” Henderson and a brother, Bernard Bunner. Friends will be received Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church.
