Frances Louann Reed

Frances LouAnn Reed, 86 of Claysville, died Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Transitions Health Care. She was born October 19, 1930 in Washington, the daughter of the late Stanley A. Phillips and Lucille Conklin Phillips. Frances was a 1948 graduate of Washington High School. She retired from Sears and worked at Citizens Water Company and PicWay in her early years. She was a member of Fairhill Manor, where she was a member of the choir. Frances enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and spending time with her dog, Addie. On July 2, 1950, she married James A. Reed, who died June 11, 2003. Surviving are two sons, William J. “Bill” Reed and Randy S. Reed both of Sugar Land, TX; a daughter, Juanita L. Montalvo of Fredericksburg, VA; a sister, Sarah Snodgrass of Houston; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Deceased are a son, Jeffrey Reed, a daughter in law, Cheryl Reed, a brother William H. Phillips. Friends will be received Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Monday, March 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michael Lehman officiating. Burial is private at Washington Cemetery.
