Albert “Dennis” Lattimore, 63 of Washington, died February 22, 2017 following a two-year illness.
He was born December 31, 1953, in Washington, the son of the late Louis Lattimore Sr and Velma Castor.
Dennis was a 1971 graduate of Trinity High School and graduated from Tennessee State University, where he received football and baseball scholarships.
He was a health and physical education teacher and Tennis Coach at Pittsburgh Public School District for over 15 years, where he taught at Allderdice High School. He also taught at Port Washington Tennis Academy for 10 years.
Dennis was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bentleyville.
He was an extremely accomplished tennis player and a certified professional instructor. He enjoyed music and watching movies.
Surviving are two sons, Michael D. Lattimore of Washington and Travis A. Washington of Bridgeville; a brother Louis Lattimore Jr. of Washington.
Deceased in addition to his parents are two brothers, Jerry and Johnny Lattimore.
Friends will be received Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Monday, February 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Ivory officiating. Burial will follow at Beallsville Cemetery.
