Jane L. Hunt

  Jane LeVerne Hunt, 86, of Washington, died February 22, 2017, in Washington County Health Center. She was born August 17, 1930, in Meadowlands, a daughter of the late William Chappel and Gladys Favorite Chappel. Mrs. Hunt graduated from Chartiers High School and worked at Bell of Pennsylvania.   Later, she worked as a switchboard operator and in the mailroom at Washington & Jefferson College, retiring after 20 years of service.  Mrs. Hunt was a member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church, Methodist Women, and Eastern Star, and volunteered at the Washington Hospital. On September 29, 1950, she married Cameron H. Hunt, who died December 20, 1996. Deceased are a daughter, Sandy L. Pozniak; a son, Keith O. Hunt; and three brothers, Thomas, Glenn and David Chappel. Surviving are three grandchildren, Jason and Adam Seaman and Cameron A. Hunt; seven great-grandchildren, Erin, Emma, Garret, Daniel, Elizabeth, Marcus and Tyler Seaman; two sisters, Lois Johnson of Argyle, Texas and Bonnie Erbe of Lakewood, Florida; and a special friend, George Julos. Friends will be received from 12:30 till 2:30 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, February 25th, in Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church, with Rev. Ross Pryor officiating.  Entombment will be private in Washington Cemetery.
