Robert Lee Kelley, Sr., 75, of Washington, died Thursday, February 9, 2017, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born November 29, 1941, in Washington, a son of the late John Allen Kelley and Ruth Grandon Kelley.
Mr. Kelley attended Claysville High School and worked as a coal miner for 35 years.
A former member of the Slovak Club, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He loved his dog Halo.
Mr. Kelley had a great sense of humor and was always joking with someone.
He was Baptist by faith.
On May 19, 1978, he married Shirley Adams, who survives.
Also surviving are five sons, Brian (Ann Wagner) Kelley of Washington, Robert Mullen of Pittsburgh, Ronnie Mullen of Washington, David (Jessica) Kelley of Daisytown and Donald Kelley of Washington; two daughters, Joann Kelley of Cecil and Donna Sartori of Washington; four brothers, Cyrus Kelley of Washington, Richard (Ann) Kelley of Claysville, Lawrence (Mary) Kelley and Leroy Kelley, both of Washington; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Robert William Kelley; a daughter, Katherine Kelley; and three brothers, John, Jim and Tom Kelley.
A memorial visitation will be held Thursday from 5 till 7 p.m., the time of a memorial service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
