Payton Elizabeth Pierson

Payton Elizabeth Pierson, 10, of Washington, died on Thursday, February 9, 2017, in Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, following a brief illness. She was born on January 27, 2007, in Washington, a daughter of James Edward Morris and Ashley Pierson, of Washington. Payton was a student at Trinity South Elementary School. She took dance lessons with Rhythm City Dance. Payton loved animals, and her favorites were her cat, Ghost, and her grandfather’s dog, Jules. Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her maternal grandparents, James Pierson, Jr., of Holbrook, and Levonna “Lynn” Pierson, of Bentleyville; paternal grandmother, Kathy Jo Morris, of Washington; maternal great grandparents, James Pierson, Sr., of Aleppo, and Bill Von Pettit, of Holbrook; paternal great grandparents, David R. Worobec and Mary E. Worobec, of Washington; three aunts, Samantha Pierson, Carissa Worobec, and Jordan Morris, all of Washington; and two first cousins, Owen and Kaylor. Deceased are a baby brother, Kolton Pierson; paternal grandfather, James E. Morris, Jr.; maternal great grandmother, Ramona Pierson; and paternal great grandparents, James Morris, Sr., and Viola Morris. Friends will be received on Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA, where services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2017. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery.
