Carol A. Dean, 71, of Washington, went to be with the Lord on February 6, 2017, in the Washington Hospital, where she succumbed to complications of the disease Scleroderma. She was born on January 1, 1946, in McKees Rocks, daughter to the late Patrick and Catherine Spine. Carol received her Associate’s degree from Robert Morris University’s School of Business. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking, and loved to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers. She also enjoyed going out to dinner, and the movies, with her husband Richard. Along with her husband, Carol was the proud business owner of Dean’s Water in Washington. She worked diligently there, until August, 2016, when she was diagnosed with Scleroderma. On August 16, 1991, she married Richard D. Dean, who survives.Also surviving are a son, Patrick (Tina) Gobcio, of Akron, OH; two stepsons, Kenneth (Vicki Furmanski) Dean, of Wheeling, WV, and Richard A. Dean, of Washington; a stepdaughter, Laurie Dean, of Washington; a brother, Robert (Marlene) Spine, of Coraopolis; a brother-in-law, Edward Lyons, of Tampa, FL; six grandchildren, Tyler Gobcio, of Akron, OH., Keith (Amber) Dean, of Washington, Asha Dean, of Pittsburgh, Candice (A.J.) Graham, of Washington, and Rachel (Andrew) Imhoff, of Imperial, and Shaunezhia Furmanski, of Wheeling, WV; two great-grandchildren, Ava Dean and Daniel Graham; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, Dominic “D.J.” Gobcio and a sister, Patricia Lyons. Friends and family will be received on Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Friday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 11, 2017. Private Burial in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
