Patricia J. Minton

Patricia J. Minton, 83 of Washington, died Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Washington County Health Center. She was born May 27, 1933 in Prosperity, the daughter of the late Lester H. Rutan and Mildred Lightner Rutan. Patricia was a 1953 graduate of Waynesburg High School and was a homemaker for 63 years. She was a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church. Patricia was a loving wife and mother. She loved sewing and was a member of the Lagonda Homemakers. On August 20, 1953, she married, Edward M. Minton, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Douglas E. (Angela) Minton of Canonsburg; a daughter, Jody Lynn (Joe) Bond of Murfreesboro, TN; a brother, Leonard Rutan of Houston, TX; a sister, Sarah Sue Milliken of Greensburg; two grandchildren, Tiffany Lynn Staggs of Murfreesboro, TN and Katelyn Renee Barney of Murfreesboro, TN; two great grandchildren, Braedan Staggs and Lucas Pruskowski. Deceased is a brother, Richard Rutan. Friends will be received Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Monday, January 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Larry Leonard officiating. Burial will follow at Prosperity Cemetery.
