Barbara E. Yonosik, 82, of Washington, died on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, in Concordia Hospice of Washington.
She was born on July 8, 1934, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Francis C. Seavy, Sr., and Mary R. Briar Seavy.
A graduate of Washington High School, she also received an Associate’s Degree from Penn Commercial Business and Technical School.
Mrs. Yonosik had worked for many years as a secretary for Longwood Homes, and as a teenager, she had worked at Taylor’s Pharmacy Soda Fountain in the George Washington Hotel.
Barbara enjoyed traveling, amusement parks, cooking, and animals, especially dogs.
On July 1, 1954, she married John A. Yonosik, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Melody L. (Craig) Fujimoto, of Pompano Beach, FL; and two grandchildren, Christopher L. (Melanie) D’Alessandro, of Apex, NC, and Gina M. D’Alessandro, of Washington.
Deceased is a brother, F. Clifford Seavy, Jr.
Friends will be received on Saturday, January 7, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the time of services, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301.
Entombment will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
