Russell Dean Stuck, 91, of Washington, died Thursday, December 29, 2016, in the Washington Hospital. Born February 3, 1925, in Perryopolis, he was the youngest of the 14 children born to Nathanial and Florence McKee Stuck. A World War II veteran of the Army Air Forces, Mr. Stuck graduated from Waynesburg College in 1951. He worked at National Annealing Box, Blaw-Knox Piping Corporation, Westinghouse Electric, Occidental Chemical, CE Lummus, and Dow Chemical, retiring as project engineer. Mr. Stuck was a member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church. When living in Sugarland, Texas, he and his wife enjoyed square dancing. Locally, they enjoyed participating in ballroom dancing. Mr. Stuck was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Shriners in Florida. On September 3, 1949, he married Loretta Louise Mefford, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Kathy Louise (Pastor Gary) Gibson of Washington and Beverly Ann (John) Brundrige of Stockbridge, Georgia; two granddaughters, Melissa Lynn Gibson of Canonsburg and Nicole Leigh (Doug) King of Eighty Four; and a great-granddaughter, Melia. Friends will be received on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A memorial service will be held at a date and time to be announced.
