Kobe Anthony Long, 6, of Washington, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016, in the Washington Hospital. He was born in Pittsburgh on April 26, 2010, a son of Christa R. Bolen and Blayr L. Brown of Washington. Kobe suffered traumatic injuries at five months of age, yet remained a happy child, always laughing and smiling. He was loved by everyone, even those that did not know him. Kobe enjoyed trips to the Outer Banks where he loved to go fishing. He loved his three dogs, Dez, Demaine and Duchess, and his cat, Charlie. Kobe was in first grade at Laboratory Intermediate Unit 1 School. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a sister, Nevaeh A. Sheets of Washington; maternal grandparents, David M. and Ruth F. Bolen of Washington; paternal grandparents, Jackie Lacks and Clarence Terry, both of Washington; great-grandmother, Delourse Brown of Washington; uncles, Dave M. (Brittany) Bolen, Jr. of Washington, Richard Lacks of Mercer, and Darnell Brown of Washington; aunts, Sheryl Brown of Washington and Terry Brown of Virginia; great aunt, Debra Brown of Washington; great uncle and aunt, Ray and Gladys Paquet of Washington; and several cousins. Friends will be received from 4 till 8 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 31st.
