Alissa Ann Muhleman, 35, of Dormont, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 24, 2016, in her home. She was born on May 24, 1981, a daughter of Sandra Muhleman (Donald) Teter and the late David L. Muhleman. Alissa was a 1999 graduate of Washington High School, a 2004 graduate of Allegheny College, and a 2006 graduate of the Shadyside School of Nursing. She was Roman Catholic by faith. Ms. Muhleman was employed as an RN for Dialysis Clinic, Inc., in Bellevue, PA. She was known for her compassion towards her patients, and found great joy in her profession. A devoted and loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt and niece, she always put the needs of others before her own. Many have called her “best friend.” Alissa enjoyed time with family, Pittsburgh Steeler football, and beach vacations. Her favorite time was watching Parker play baseball, and cheering him on. She was often seen taking photos to be used in her photo collage. Ms. Muhleman was known for her lengthy, loving notes inside greeting cards, and loved ones often found little notes of love and encouragement tucked in a pocket, book, or drawer. She was truly our sunshine. We will celebrate the gift of her thirty-five years with us. We know that she was welcomed into Heaven, and the waiting arms of her dad, whom she missed so much. Surviving in addition to her mother and stepfather are her maternal grandmother, Anna Mary Milkovich Czadankiewicz; two brothers, David L. (Stephanie) Muhleman, Jr., and Ryan A. Muhleman; a nephew, Parker D. Muhleman; and many aunts and cousins. Deceased, in addition to her father, are her maternal grandfather, John G. Milkovich; and her paternal grandparents, Charles and Virginia Muhleman. Friends will be received from 5 till 8 p.m. on Thursday and 1 till 4 and 6 till 8 p.m., on Friday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 31st, in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington.
