Tod Mrock

Tod Mrock, 83, of Canonsburg, died on Sunday, December 4, 2016, in Canonsburg Hospital. He was born on May 11, 1933, in Washington, a son of the late Albert and Martha Hindman Mrock. Tod was a 1951 graduate of Washington High School, and was a member of the Central Assembly of God. A veteran of the United States Army, he served during the Korean War, from May 14, 1953, until his Honorable Discharge on April 23, 1955. For his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal. Mr. Mrock had worked for over thirty years as a furnace operator at Cyclops Steel, and as a line worker for RCA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and gardening, and especially loved taking drives in the Fall with his wife, to look at the changing leaves. On October 20, 1953, he married Isabelle Lee Parker, who died on September 25, 2010. Surviving are two sons, Daniel Mrock, of Canonsburg, and Gary (Melissa) Mrock, of Monroeville; two daughters, Lorraine (Robert) Elias, of Washington, and Maureen Mrock, of Canonsburg; four grandchildren, Alycia Spencer (Ron) Ringer, Holly (Mark Coen) Elias, Eric Mrock, and Bradley (Melissa Lakin) Mrock; four great grandchildren, Haven and Jacob Ringer, Lily Mrock, and Jason Straw; nieces, Vici Lofstead, Debbie Mrock, Carmel (Tim) Tuttle, Andrea (Martin) McNeil, two nephews, Tim Mrock, and Rudy Keron; a sister-in-law, Violet Mrock; and a brother-in-law, Rudolph (Judy) Keron; Deceased are a daughter, Sandra Zentz, and her husband George, a brother, Lloyd Mrock, and three sisters-in-law, Rena Jean Parker, Flora Parker Keron, and Mary Lahosky Mrock. Friends will be received on Thursday, December 8, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and on Friday, December 9, 2016, from 12 to 1 p.m., the time of services, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301, with Pastor Todd Stemple officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
