Raymond E. Wallace, 58, of Washington, died November 30, 2016 at the Washington Hospital. He was born April 3, 1958 in Washington, the son of Freda Estelle “Tillie” Roberts Wallace of Washington. Raymond retired from West Penn Wire as a supervisor. He was a member of the Washington County Horseshoe Club in Washington, the Brilliant Horseshoe Club in Brilliant, Ohio, and a life member of the NRA. He also was part owner of Whitetail Xtreme outfitters in Iowa. Raymond enjoyed hunting, horseshoes, playing pool at Yoc’s pool hall and spending time with his grandkids. He especially enjoyed hunting at his “Buck or Bust” cabin in West Hickory. He played softball and football in his younger years. On February 8, 1975, he married Laura “Ellen” Varner, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Raymond K. (Lee) Wallace of Claysville, Jeremy E. (Melissa) Wallace of Leechburg; a daughter, Brandy R. (Christopher Lyle) Wallace of Washington; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Lacey, Brock, Grayson, Westin, Tristan, Kaitlyn, Georgie and Andrew; uncles, aunts, cousins, brothers and sisters in law. Deceased are his father in law, Ken Varner; and his maternal grandparents, Paul and Betty Roberts. Friends will be received Friday, December 2, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 12 to 4 p.m. the time of service at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Burial is private.
